Page Setup
Within the administration menu, specifically under the User Interface tab, the "Page Setup" feature empowers the Genius Administrator with the ability to manage the visibility and requirements of various fields across different pages and forms throughout the system interface. This functionality is particularly useful as it also allows the administrator to dictate how a field name is presented directly on the page itself, which is referred to as Display As.
The significance of this feature is that it enables Genius Class administrators to offer a more tailored experience for their end users. By customizing which fields are visible and required, administrators can ensure that only the most pertinent information is collected from students, thus streamlining the data collection process and enhancing user engagement.
To access this feature, navigate to your Administration Tab > User Interface > Page Setup. From there, you can select “Application” or any other option available in the dropdown menu. This selection will display all the fields that are currently available for each interface page, allowing you to review and modify them as necessary.
For instance, when utilizing the Application page:
By clicking on "Get Data," users are presented with a comprehensive list of fields that appear on the application form that a student must complete to gain entry into your organization's educational program. At this stage, you have the authority to designate whether each field is "Required" or optional, to determine if the field should be "Visible" to the end user or hidden, and to decide whether or not to "Enable" the field altogether, using the corresponding checkboxes provided below.
Furthermore, any custom fields that have been incorporated into this specific category, in this case, the Custom Application Fields, will be displayed at the bottom of the Page Setup screen. These fields will appear "greyed out," indicating that their configurations are managed on the Custom Fields page instead of being adjustable from this particular page.
