Inventory and Assets
Begin by adding an “Asset Type”. Go to your Administration Tab-> Asset Types under the Asset Tracking menu.
Click on “Add new asset type”, fill in the required fields and click Save.
Once you have created your Asset types, it is time to add your “Inventory Items”. Go to the Administration Tab-> Inventory under the Asset Tracking menu.
Click on “Add new Inventory item”. Fill in the required fields and click Save.
Once you have created your inventory item, you are ready to assign/checkout the “Asset” to a student. Find the desired student in which you wish to checkout the inventory item. Click on the student and choose “Assets” in the left navigation menu from the student’s main page.
From here you can Check (In or Out) any available inventory items. Note: only items that are “Available” will show in the list.
Now that your inventory item is checked out/assigned to the student, you can also track “Shipping”. If you need to ship the inventory item to a remote student, go to your Reports Tab-> Shipment Report under the Asset Tracking Menu.
Click the check box beside the items to be shipped and choose “Set to Shipped.” This will now show up on the inventory report as shipped.
