You have selected, enrolled, and paid for your courses - and now, you are finally ready to access your course content. We note that Enterprise+ helps streamline what we call the "administrative" aspects of your learning journey - but in general, the learning content in each of your courses will be served by another solution - the Learning Management System, or LMS.
In this article, we provide a brief overview of how to launch into the courses that make up your learning initiative from Enterprise+ using the Dashboard. We also review other ways in which you could access your learning content.
Accessing your Courses
Accessing your courses from Enterprise+ is easy. In your Learner's Dashboard, return to the box titled Active Courses. You will see a mosaic with a colored tile representing the status of each one of the courses you are currently enrolled in. The title of the course is presented on the right-hand side of each tile.
To access your course content, simply click on the title of each course under each tile in the mosaic:
A new tab or window will open in your browser, leading you to the selected course's landing page in your LMS.
From your LMS
You can also access your courses directly from within the interface of your LMS. However, if your organization has onsite as well as online and blended learning opportunities, you may not see all the courses you are registered in. Because of this, we highly recommend that you access your Enterprise+ Learner's Dashboard to get a complete picture of your performance, progress, and engagement across all the learning opportunities that your organization offers.
Enterprise+ will display the results of your progression even if you did not access the course directly from your Learner's Dashboard. You can access your courses directly from the LMS' interface with confidence, as both the LMS and the Registration component of your learning experience are in sync.
About your Live or Onsite Courses
As we mentioned above, your organization may have onsite or live, synchronous courses (i.e. courses that you complete via a webinar, for example). In those cases, Enterprise+ will still create a tile in the Active Courses section of your dashboard, even if the course has no link to an LMS course site.
Courses that take place live or at onsite locations will rely on Enterprise+ to store grade and attendance information, amongst others. For those courses, Enterprise+ will be the primary system of record for progress, performance, and engagement information. If you click on the tile for a Live or Onsite course in the Enterprise+ Learner Dashboard, you will not be directed to an LMS or to a source of additional information about the course.
However, the progress and Total Grade to Date indicators and the
As of January 2018, Genius can also launch into courses that are composed of SCORM-only content. SCORM is a content standard that makes it possible for content creators and instructors to create rich, interactive learning content that can be played back in most modern browsers. To launch your SCORM course, simply click on that course's Tile in the Active Courses section of your Learner's Dashboard:
... and your SCORM content will launch in a separate window:
As you make progress in SCORM-only courses, Enterprise+ will show your Progress Bar and your Grade-to-Date in the Learner's Dashboard - allowing you to keep tabs on your progress and performance, just like in any other course managed through the Enterprise+ solution.
