Learner Dashboard Updates in Genius+

Introduction

Genius is excited to be launching an updated Learner Dashboard for the Genius+ platform.  Along with the new learner dashboard, we will be using an opt-in experience designed to increase feedback and minimize the transition for your team.  Learners will be presented with a banner that will allow them to toggle to the new view and submit feedback directly to your team.

Should learners wish to return to the legacy view, they can toggle the new View back.

What to Expect?

Improved Navigation

• Upon viewing the dashboard, learners can immediately see courses they are enrolled in, their current grade, progress within the course on assignments, the instructor and access the LMS.

• If a Learner is enrolled in a Learning Path, the Learning Paths tab will appear allowing greater visibility into progress of each individual course and enroll in the next course through an Enroll button.

Based on feedback, the Enroll button will no longer appear if no sections are available to the learner for enrollment

• Pending Courses will showcase all courses that are pending enrollment, alongside any action needed by a user or administrator.  This is designed to provide greater visibility to the learner and allow learners to take additional steps towards documents or pre-requisites.
• We have added a notification number on those pending courses that corresponds to any pending course that requires the learner to take action to ensure that the next step in the learning process is clear.

• Lastly Completed Courses, will show the full history of completed courses and learning paths that have been taken along the learner’s journey.  Within the completed courses tab, certificates and the ability to go back to LMS will be available under the menu buttons based on configuration settings designed by administrators.

Syncing with LMS

To perform a data sync with the LMS you can click on the "sync" button in the top right hand corner of your page. This button was formerly labeled as "refresh". Additionally you will be able to see the last time your data was synced.

You or your learners can give our team feedback at any time when exploring the new view either by toggling the view to off or clicking on the feedback button on the righthand side of the screen.
