Go to the Administration Tab->File Upload under (System Setup)
Choose your file and click Upload -Warning files are public and do not upload any sensitive or private information.
Note: If you have a website, you can use the URL for your images without uploading to Genius and skip these steps.
Copy the URL for your image to use in the html template. You will be asked for this when you want to add the image to the template.
Go to the Administration Tab->Templates
Click Add Template, located to your left just above the list of templates.
Enter the name and description of your template. Select the type; type will determine where the template is available to users.
Example: If “Enrollments” is selected, the template will be available under the Enrollments tab when sending emails to students. By selecting “Students” the template will be available under the Students tab when sending emails.
Note: Not all choices will be relevant to the template you are creating. Types are unique to where and how the system uses the template function.
Continue by choosing whether the template is “Disabled” by selecting Yes or No and enter your “Subject”.
Note: The field “Auto” is not used in this case. Auto emails are only used when creating alternative emails to replace system emails.
You can begin creating your email using the editor, similar to a standard email editor. The editor allows you to change font type, size, and color as well as other text options.
When you are ready to add your image, click the picture icon in the editor toolbar.
Note: This could be any image from your site or the image that was uploaded in the previous steps.
Paste your URL from the file upload page in the “Enter a URL” text box and click OK.
When you are ready to insert a hyperlink to an outside resource, click the hyperlink icon in the editor toolbar.
Paste your URL from the file upload page or your own URL in the “Enter a URL” text box and click OK.
When you are finished creating your email template, click save at the bottom of the editing window.
This could be an example of the template created.
