Bulk Student Email - Students Tab
Once you’ve logged in, locate and click the students tab, then locate and click “bulk emails” on the left sidebar.
Here, you can use search criteria to generate reports that filter your current students in several key ways: with many different filter options, creating a report that sorts by Affiliation, grade level, term, or all of those combined.
Once you’re done entering your search criteria, click get data.
The report generated will allow you to select all students by clicking “check all,” or you can select specific students within the report by clicking their check box in the select column. Then click “Bulk Email” at the bottom of the screen. When you’re ready to send an email to the users you’ve selected, click “Send Email.”
When you’re ready to send an email to the users you’ve selected, click “Bulk Email” at the bottom of the page.
This next page is where you’ll be constructing the email you want to send to the students you’ve selected from the previous page.
If you have a template already created, you can select it from the template drop down menu. This is very useful for emails that are sent out regularly. An example of this would be a weekly reminder to students about lack of login’s or being behind pace.
Here, you can attach files to the email by selecting “choose file” next to Attachment. Next, you can use the checkboxes to designate who will get a copy of the email. You can choose to copy the student’s guardian and teacher, or even choose to exclude the student.
When creating the body of your email, you can utilize variables that will make creating bulk emails more intuitive. By using variables such as [First_Name] or [Course_Name], you can structure the email to automatically insert the appropriate student information for each user and topic.
When you’re done crafting your email, you can pre-view what it will look like by clicking “update sample.” This is very useful for testing how your variables integrate into the flow of the email.
When you are finished and ready to send your email, click the “send” button at the top.
